West Lake Campground is indeed a convenient spot for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors near Prince George. Situated west of the city just 12 km off Hwy#16, it offers easy access to both natural beauty and urban amenities.

Visitors can engage in a range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, and boating in the nearby lakes. The proximity to Prince George also means campers can easily access local services, restaurants and shops if needed. It's a great option for a well deserved staycation to relax and unwind, or a quick overnight on your way to or from Alaska!

We offer over 35 spacious overnight sites equipped with full and partial services, ensuring all the modern conveniences you need for your home on wheels. For those seeking a more rustic experience, we also provide non-serviced private sites (Mega sites) nestled in the beauty of nature.

​

​For guests who prefer not to tow an  RV or set-up a tent, we offer several comfortable cabin options. Choose from the 'Cozy Cabin' (for 1 or 2), a beautiful appointed A-Frame Cabin (also for 1 or 2), or a spacious family cabin that sleeps up to 4. No matter how you choose to stay, we've got you covered!

Our 2026 camping season runs from May 1 to Sept 13 and we're excited to announce that reservations are now OPEN! We invite you to book your site and experience all that we have to offer. We look forward to welcoming you and create memories that will last a lifetime!
